just found out a BILINGUAL blog about local organic veg in Hong Kong (how slow I am)
1.15 servings (122g) of leafy green vegetables a day resulted in a 14% reduced risk of type 2 diabetes when compared with people who ate < 1/2 a serving per day.
Yes, i am inspired by the beeb’s edible garden, and this is my version, on 37th Floor. I am waiting for my 1st harvest in Dragon Boat Festival.
Most of the organic seeds were taken from the fresh food I have been eating (tomatoes, ginger, chickpeas and basil),
while some bought from supermarket (coriander, cumin, mustard, peas),
some propagated by stem cuttings (rosemary, mint),
some seeds not organic at all (thyme and viola tricolor).
next, I want to grow courgettes, fennel, chamomile, lavender, and fruits like kiwi and apples.
Gardening Lesson #1: Don’t ever buy seeds from China.
