will definitely try this:
Beetroot with soy-citrus
Serves 4 as part of a light main course
raw beetroot 6 small to medium
oil vegetable, rapeseed or groundnut
For the dressing:
ginger, freshly grated 1 tsp
orange juice 125ml
lemon juice 3 tbsp
dark soy 3 tsp
small, red chilli 1
sherry vinegar 1 tbsp

Not long ago, foods like kiwis and sushi weren’t widely known or available. It is quite likely that in 2020 we will look back in surprise at the era when our menus didn’t include locusts, beetle larvae, dragonfly larvae, crickets and other insect delights.

香港政府對環保行動總是採取被動。順應大部份民意後才會加以少少考慮,或許可能有機會慢吞吞地行動。所以與其等政府幫助,不如從自家著手。

As for fruit and veg, buy locally and seasonally wherever you can – it’s both delicious and sensible. Of course, I’d urge you to grow your own – if we all grew 10% of the food we eat, it would make a huge difference… small changes that make a cumulative difference, so even a windowbox of herbs or a few pots of lettuce is a tasty, enjoyable way to cut down on the food miles of what you eat.

I made my own yogurt! Happy days!

50% shop-bought yogurt price. 100% satisfaction.

Recipe

  1. boil 1L fat milk
  2. cool to blood temperature
  3. mix 200ml organic yogurt
  4. leave 8 hrs to set (blood temperature)
  5. done!

* last for 7 days in a fridge.

無臭發酵技術 在家處理廚餘 (is Bokashi compost our solution to food waste/kitchen scraps in Hong Kong?)

基本上所有廚餘在四星期內被分解轉化成養分,比傳統廚餘堆肥的處理時間快一半。而使用的器具包括兩套桶及一公斤Bokashi,所費約200元。
